The Egadi Islands

The main islands of the archipelago are Levanzo, Favignana and Marettimo.
While each island is unique, they all share the ancient charm of their little fishing villages.

Levanzo, the smallest of the three, is famous for the “Grotta del Genovese” cave in which cave paintings left behind by prehistoric man can still be seen.

Favignana has many coves and distinctive paths cut into the tuff, and is famous for its tradition of  “mattanza” ritual (killing of the captured tuna fish).

Marettimo stuns visitors with the turquoise colour of its seawater, its extremely rich seabed and its wonderful marine caves.
